“Epic” (2013) - Debut Trailer
20th Century Fox and Blu Sky Studios (Ice Age, Rio) have released the first trailer for their latest project, Epic.
This fantasy adventure film finds a teenager in a completely new world deep in the forest where she stumbles upon an escalating battle between good and evil. There she must join forces with a ragtag group of characters to save both their world and her own.
While generic as the plot may be with a trailer that pretty much screams Avatar, I’m still pretty intrigued by this movie. I’m not a huge fan of what Blue Sky Studios has put out to date, but Epic feels like a step in the right direction with this trailer.
Epic is set for a May 24th, 2013 release.

I actually really like the trailer… up until they throw in typical family fun humour at the end of the trailer.

“The Campaign” First Trailer
Somehow this one has been flying under the radar for a while now, but here’s our first look at Jay Roach’s new comedy The Campaign, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as rival politicians.
The script was written by 2 writers from Eastbound and Down, Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy, so while the trailer plays a little broad, hopefully it will have some bite to it when it’s released August 10.

“Pokémon Black 2 and White 2” - Trailer 2
Yeah, that’s a lot of twos but a second trailer has been released for Pokémon BW2.
Nothing much is new but this trailer does show the Water-type gym leader, Shizui, leaping into battle with flair. Other than that, it just further shows that Eevee, Mareep and Riolu can be caught in the wild. And that a mechanic Tyranitar somehow ties into the gameplay.
As the release date nears in Japan, be on the lookout for more information in the weeks to come.

Leaked “Total Recall” (2012) Teaser
Though the first official image was released months ago, here we have the first teaser for Len Wiseman’s (creator of the Underworld series) upcoming remake of the classic 1990 Paul Verhoeven sci-fi flick which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
This updated remake stars Colin Farrell and is based on a short story by Phillip K. Dick. As you can see in this teaser, a bit of the film’s action is on display along with many key scenes that fans of the original film will be able to make out. It also features a cast that includes Wiseman’s wife, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bill Nighy, Bryan Cranston, Bokeem Woodbine, Ethan Hawke and John Cho.
Total Recall is set for an August 3rd release opposite of The Bourne Legacy.

Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” Debut Trailer
It’s been a long time since the fantasy epic Lord of the Rings trilogy was in theaters, but the missing piece of collection has been the long-awaited The Hobbit movie.
The film is still a year away from landing in a theater near you but it will be the guaranteed must-see film of 2012.
