About 10 years back I worked in a warehouse for a well known company, and they had a no shorts policy. Spring began to transition to summer, and the temperatures inside the building reached triple digits, and they still would not relent. One of my coworkers was browsing the employee manual, and found that skirts were allowed, as long as they were down to your knees. Thus began a jovial time period of all the males in the warehouse picking up whatever skirts would fit at a thrift store, and wearing them to work in this sweltering warehouse. One week later the rule was re-written to include knee length shorts as well.

My dad told me that he has a coworker who’s a trans woman. She was married to this girl before her transition and they remained together after it. Everyone at work respects her pronouns. My dad is in a chiefing position at his office and he told me that nobody jokes behind her back. She and her wife have two cute dogs together and I felt like I should share this story bc I want everyone to know that this positivity and respect exists and you deserve it. Don’t ever dare think that you don’t because you do.

“Y: The Last Man Rising” [Fan Film]

There is suppose to be a film based off Bryan K. Vaughn’s Y: The Last Man. The comic which details a world hit with a plague that wipes out every last man except for Yorick and his pet monkey Ampersand has found itself in pre-development standstill while attempting to transition to film. But Christian Cardona decided to take matter into his own hands by directing this really cool fan film.

The film stars Travis Quentin Young as Yorick Brown, Kent King as Agent 355, and Rebecca Marshall as Hero Brown.
